The dam
Jump off the jetty, go swimming, make use of the paddle boats and feed the ducks.
There is plenty to keep all generations active and happy at Penhill – dams and pools for fishing, canoeing or simply splashing about in, the best tennis court in the Karoo, boules, croquet, not to mention trails for gentle walks, more strenuous hikes and several fantastic mountain bike trails leading directly from the farm. While there are many delightfully picturesque spots where everyone can gather for meals, afternoon tea or sundowners, there’s also more than enough space on the 3 500 acre property with its well-tended garden to find quiet time alone with a book. Where better for a nap than propped up under a tree beside the dam?
Penhill Farm lends itself perfectly as a venue for weddings, yoga retreats, brain-storming workshops, in fact any event where accommodation in luxurious homes coupled with immersion in a gloriously beautiful mountain environment is what’s needed.
